The Vatican has issued a "nihil obstat" (meaning "nothing obstructs") and grants approval for Medjugorje devotion. They have determined that nothing about the event is contrary to the faith, and therefore Catholics can express devotion to it.

The Vatican recently established a new way of classifying supernatural events. Medjugorje was placed in the most favorable category.
Used for phenomena that are connected with 'many signs of the action of the Holy Spirit' and so far 'no aspects that are particularly critical or risky have been detected.'"

Medjugorje has long held a special place for our Palomita Films team. Cimela and Jessi met in Medjugorje in 2015 when they helped film the documentary Apparition Hill. Garret joined our team when he came with us on pilgrimage to Medjugorje in 2021. We always say that Our Lady Queen of Peace brought us together.
Traveling to this place of peace has encouraged each of us in our faith over the years. It is a special moment for us to see the Vatican encourage devotion to a place that has transformed our lives.
