Welcome to Palomita Films

We are incredibly excited for this next adventure! Our team met in Medjugorje and has worked on projects together for years. We are so excited to start something new!

With Palomita Films we will be producing short films of stories that inspire us. The short film format will be more accessible to share with parishes, small groups, or even friends like Cimela who don't like to sit still for the length of a two hour film.

Palomita is Spanish for 'little dove' but it also translates to 'popcorn'

Cimela grew up with her grandmother often singing, "Ven, Ven, Ven Espíritu Divino." As a team, we pray that the Holy Spirit guides everything we do so that felt like a good place to start when naming our new venture.

We have spent a lot of time in movie theaters sharing our films over the last years, and we always have to get a bag of popcorn. In Spanish, the word for popcorn is 'palomitas' because the shape of popcorn is almost like a little dove.

We combined our devotion to the Holy Spirit and our love of this delicious treat to name our new company. We hope that all of you enjoy a delicious bowl of palomitas whenever you watch our new short films!

We've already begun production on our first project. Our first short film tells the story of Fr. Ryan, a priest from Houston, Texas who inspired his entire community with his joy, kindness, and generosity, even in the face of great suffering. He wanted to not only know God's will, but to love God's will. This film will be available later this year.

We will also continue to lead pilgrimages, now through Paloma Pilgrimages. Paloma is the Spanish word for 'dove.' Our hope is to add other pilgrimage locations where we have personally experienced beautiful retreats like the Holy Land and Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City.

We have some exciting plans on the horizon! We can't wait to share more with you soon!
